- Prepare CoffeeBrew strong espresso and let it cool. Stir in liqueur if using.
- Make CreamIn a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.In another bowl, beat mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until combined.
- LayeringQuickly dip ladyfingers into the cooled coffee (do not soak).Arrange a single layer in a 9x13 inch dish.Spread half of the cream mixture on top.Repeat with another layer of coffee-dipped ladyfingers.Spread remaining cream on top.
- Chill & FinishCover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours .(Best - overnight)Just before serving, dust generously with cocoa powder.
